Terms & Conditions

Operating terms for Edhara merchants, retailers, kiosks, and portal users.

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and usage of the services, web portals, APIs, and mobile applications provided by EDHARA PAYMENT SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED ("Edhara", "we", "us"), having its registered corporate office in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an agent/retailer account, logging into https://agent.edhara.in, or processing any transaction through our electricity bill payment desk or BBPS switch, you unconditionally agree to these Terms.

2. Merchant KYC & Eligibility

Retailers and business correspondents must complete full electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification, including valid Aadhaar and PAN credentials. You warrant that all information provided during registration is accurate and up to date.

3. Electricity & BBPS Bill Collections

  • All utility payments are subject to clearing and validation by respective discom operators (e.g. AVVNL, JVVNL, JdVVNL, UPPCL) and BBPS billers.
  • Retailers must issue official receipts (printed or electronic SMS/WhatsApp) to consumers for every successful transaction without charging unauthorized extra fees.
  • In the rare event of upstream discom maintenance or timeout, payments are automatically tracked and reconciled within statutory banking settlement cycles.

4. AEPS & DMT Guidelines

  • AEPS cash withdrawal requires the physical presence and biometric consent of the customer. Retailers must maintain an accurate local physical or digital transaction register.
  • Split transactions or biometric spoofing are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate ID termination, legal reporting, and wallet freezing.

5. Intellectual Property & Brand Assets

All trademarks, logos, system architectures, and portal software remain the exclusive property of EDHARA PAYMENT SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED and respective state/national bodies.

6. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
